  does the wt have a person/department/section tasked with compiling data and analysing it statistically.

  or have they started doing something like that now that they are hiring external consultancies?.

  i ask the question because i'm wondering if such studies and statistical analysis would show any link between the harshness of the disfellowshipping policy as it is applied and the dropout rate of people within the organisation who have just had enough.. in previous threads it has been pointed out that the old approach isn't effective any more.

  I agree WS is an acquired taste, he is a "marmite" character. Not every point he made was entirely accurate. Personally, despite these hesitations I think this was a great, thought provoking piece with a lot of scoring blows.

  I had a relative in Jah-Jireh. The pros included money not being an issue, they do seem to finance on a wing and a prayer without pressure on families.

  Cons, they run it on pseudo "spiritual" lines with WT studies, day texts etc all infant of the bored dribbling residents. There are few things to do that take the oldies out of themselves or give them enjoyment. Few outings, no birthday parties, no celebrations, nothing to break the monotony.

  So, I've just come across the re-opening of this thread so I'm late to this part of the party. I am disappointed about th way the thread has been hi-jacked. I think that the original list of well-reasoned evidence assembled by Cofty is invaluable and should be resurrected regularly.

  EP has ranted and expressed her beliefs and seems to consider repeated repetition and adamant statement of said beliefs as evidence. The nearest thing to evidence she quotes are accusations of dishonesty and corruption amongst the scientific community, I am afraid that none of this is evidence and even if true it doesn't undermine the mountain of undisputed research and information out there.

  Sorry EP, in my opinion if you want to convince anybody start your own thread and give us something substantial not just a lot of ranting and flim-flam.

  If you really did a scientific course, try to remember how to write a decent argument.
